DOST-SEI Scholarship For Master’s and Doctorate

The DOST-SEI Scholarship for Master’s and Doctorate Open for all Filipino Students, (DOST-SEI) Department of Science and Technology – Science Education Institute, in cooperation with the National Consortium in Graduate Science and Mathematics Education (NCGSME) offers Scholarship to the Qualified Students.

Application is open for Master’s and Doctorate Degrees in Science and Mathematics Education, Under the CBPSME – Capacity Building Program in Science and Mathematics Education.

Golas of DOST-SEI Scholarship

The Program aims to:

• To Be improve the Quality of Science and Mathematics Education in the Filipino and
• Development of Critical mass of experts in Science and Mathematics Education.

Offers Course:

• Master’s in Mathematics / Science Education
• Doctoral in Mathematics / Science Education

What are the Eligibility Criteria to Apply

Here are the list of Eligibility criteria to apply Scholarship

1. He or She must be a Natural Born Filipino Citizen,
2. He or She must not be more than 50year of Old at the time of application,
3. Must be Good Moral Character,
4. Pass the Admission requirements for Graduate Studies at any of the NCGSME Member-Universities,
5. He or She must have at least 2 years of teaching experience in:
   • Science and Mathematics for Doctoral or
   • At least one year teaching experiece or have graduated as DOST Scholar for Master’s
6. IF employed – Allowed to study full time for 2 or 3 years residential mode and Part time for 6 Year at UPOU (Distance Education Mode)
   • Must have been in service for at least five (5) years.
   • Must have at least Very Satisfactory performance rating for the last two (2) years.
   • For employed non-DepEd applicants: Certificate of Employment, Permit to Study (Signed Form 2B by the Head of the University);
7. Not a recipient of any other Scholarship and
8. They must be willing to accept the terms and Conditions Specified in the Scholarship Contract.

Who can Apply Scholarship?

The Scholarship is Eligible for Students

• PhD Graduate in a priority S&T Program (Scholar or non-Scholar) Who intends to pursue a second PhD Degree.
• MS/PhD non-Scholar Graduate (not S&T related) who intends to pursue a second MS/PhD degree.

Who may NO longer apply?

✓ PhD graduate (scholar or non-scholar) who intends to pursue another MS degree program.
✓ MS graduate in a priority S&T program (scholar or non-scholar) who intends to pursue a second MS degree.

• Tuition and Other School Fees – Actual
• Learning Materials or Connectivity Allowance – 20,000/Year
• Transportation Allowance – 1 Economy Class Round Trip per Year,
• Group Accident and Health Insurance – Premium,
• Thesis/Dissertation Allowance – P60,000,
• Research Grant – P114,000,
• Dissemination Grant – P75,000,
• Mentor’s Fee – P36,000,

For Doctoral:

• Stipend – 33,000/Month
• Tuition and Other School Fees – Actual
• Learning Materials or Connectivity Allowance – 20,000/Year
• Transportation Allowance – 1 Economy Class Round Trip per Year,

• Thesis/Dissertation Allowance – P100,000,
