The Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) is a financial assistance program under the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act (Republic Act 10931) in the Philippines
It aims to help qualified students afford the cost of tertiary education by providing subsidies for tuition, miscellaneous fees, and other educational needs.
What is TES?
It is a grant-in-aid program that supports the full or partial cost of tertiary education of priority students in state universities and colleges (SUCs), CHED-recognized local universities and college (LUCs), and private higher education institutions (HEls).
NOTE: it is not a scholarship based on merit but on a prioritization system set by the UniFAST Board according to RA 10931.
Eligibility To Apply TES Subsidy
- Must be Filipino Citizen
- Meets the admission and retention policies of the SUC/LUC
- No previous undergraduate degree
- Not overstaying in the program (ex. 4 or 5 years + 1-year grace period)
Documentary Requirements to apply
- Certificate of Registration/Enrollment
- Certificate of Residency (for private No SUC/LUC Category)
- PWD IDÂ (if applicable)
Benefits:
- SUC/LUC: ₱20,000 per Academic Year
- PHEI: ₱20,000 per Academic Year
- TES-3A: (Person with Disability) – ₱10,000 per Academic Year
- TES-3B: (Board/Licensure Exam Takers) – ₱8,000 (one-time reimbursement)
