What is CHED Scholarship?

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Scholarship is a program provided by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) in the Philippines, it aims to Support Financially Disadvantaged but Deserving Students in Pursuing higher Education.

Who can apply for CHED Scholarship Program

Students who are enrolled in:

• State University (SUCs),
• Local University and Colleges (LUCs)
• Private Higher Educational Institutions (PHEIs)

Above Mention students are Eligible to apply for the CHED Scholarship Program for Year 2024 – 2025

What are the Benefits of CHED Scholarship

Here are the Benefits of CHED Scholarship Program as Follows:

For State University:

Those who are Enrolled in State University Below mention Benefits are given:

CHED Scholarship Program	Financial Assistance
FULL SSP	₱40,000 per semester
HALF SSP	₱20,000 per semester

For Private University

For Private University Benefits given as

CHED Scholarship Program	Financial Assistance
FULL PESFA	₱60,000 per semester
HALF PESFA	₱30,000 per semester
FULL PESFA GAD	₱60,000 per semester
HALF PESFA GAD	₱60,000 per semester

CHED Scholarship Requirements 2024

To Apply CHED Scholarhsip you need to follow the requirements as follows:

• Must be a Filipino Citizen
• Must be a Graduating High School Students or High school Graduate
• General Weighted Average(GWA) of at least 93% or higher
  • For Half-SSP and Half-PESFA the GWA Must be at least 93 but not more than 95%
• Must not exceed the gross income of parents or guardian upto Four Hundred and thousand pesos – PHP400,000.00.
• He or She must have only one Government Founded Financial assistance Program.

CHED Scholarship Documents Requirements

Here are the list of Documents required to apply CHED Scholarship Program:

• Certified True Copy of Birth Certificate
• Academic Requirements:
  • High school report card for incoming freshmen students eligible for college; and
  • Duly certified true copy of grades for Grade 11 and 1st semester of Grade 12 for graduating high school students
• Latest Income Tax Return (ITR) of parents or guardian;
• Certificate of Tax Exemption from the (BIR) – Bureau of Internal Revenue;
• Certificate of Indigence either from their Barangay or
• (DSWD) Department of Social Welfare and Development;
• Case Study report from DSWD; and
• Latest copy of contract or proof of income, for the children of Overseas Filipino Workers and seafarers
• Identification Card (ID)
  • Special Group:
  • Underprivileged or Homeless,
  • PWD,
  • Solo Parent,
  • Senior Citizen,
  • Indigenous People.

• Full – PESFA = 17
